Mr. Richard Joseph Faubert passed away peacefully in St. Joseph's Hospice on February 5, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. Richard was born April 14, 1937 in Port Arthur and worked as an electrician and Forman for 45 years. In 1999, Richard achieved a lifelong dream of being a solo pilot. He loved to go for a drive in the bush, fish and most of all tell a good story and share a good laugh with family and friends.

Richard will be lovingly remembered by his three children Dell (Denise), Lia and Perry (Sherry); his grandchildren Matthew and Kendra; his sister Theresa (Jim) and brothers Jerome (late Dawn), Pat (Fran), Mike (Molly), Raymond (Jeanette), Roddy and their families; his special friend Rose and her children Jamie, Brenda and Robert. Predeceased by his mother and father Elsie and Magloire Faubert, sisters Bernice and Marjorie, grand-niece Meagan Enders and grand-nephews Shawn Enders and Nicklas Faubert.

We would like to thank all the family and friends who looked out for him, helped and supported him so well during his courageous battles with Prostate and Pancreatic Cancer.

According to Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens followed by a memorial service at Jenkens Funeral Home this summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or where Richard donated regularly - to the Salvation Army and Alzheimer's Society.
