It is with heavy hearts that we announce Norm’s passing on August 22nd, 2016 at the age of 86. Left to mourn him are his wife Alice, step-children Katherine Prairie (Bill Taylor) and Mark Prairie (Diana), brother Tom (Myrtle) Wright, niece June Bryant, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Roderick Wright, sisters Doris (Ernie) Urso and Margaret (George) Thornton, Ethel (Vern) Bryant, Thelma (Bob) Clark, and brothers Stuart (Wilma), Jack (Wilda), and Fred (Addie). Also mourning his loss are Julia Kangas, Jessica Minoletti and Trudy Silver who provided care and friendship during his last years at Roseview Manor, exceptional women who have become like family. Norm treasured his friends, many of whom shared his passion for hunting, fishing and camping, but none were as special to him as much as long-time friend Don Guerrieri, who we know will dearly miss Norm. Special thanks to the staff at Roseview Manor, especially those who helped him plant and care for his final garden with its glorious tomatoes. We also wish to thank Caitlin Fletcher for her care. We invite all who knew him to share their memories with us in a Celebration of Life on Monday, August 29th from 1-3 pm at the Slovak Legion Solarium, 801 Atlantic Avenue. Norm loved animals, especially dogs, so in lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to the Northern Reach dog rescue (807-824-2653), a charity close to his heart, is suggested.
