<div itemprop="description"><br /><br />Mrs. May Winters, age 95 years, a resident of Grandview Lodge and formerly of Manion Court, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2015. Born in Port Arthur, daughter of the late Robert and Mary Landversitch, she was raised and educated in Hymers. May was married in 1940 to Garfield Winters and loved community work and sports. A member of the Kakabeka Legion, adherent to Wesley United Church, a Life member of the Hymers Agricultural Society and a member of the Hymers Woman&rsquo;s Institute. She always enjoyed her grandson&rsquo;s hockey games and enjoyed the many dances at the Kakabeka Legion. Survived by daughter Shirley (Allen) Winters-Veley; sons: Roger and wife Nita, Dwight and wife Marie all of Thunder Bay; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Jean Couch. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Predeceased by her husband Garfield in 1994 and her brother Blake Landversitch. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Reception will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 in the Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 South Syndicate Ave., at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date in the Hymers Cemetery. <br /><br /><br />We take pleasure in knowing she is with Dad and all her friends. We can only imagine the sound of the banjo and Dad singing &ldquo;show me the Way to Go Home.&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request that those so desiring may send a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay or the charity of their choice.<br /><br /><br /><br />God Bless You All<br /><br /><br /><br /></div>
