It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Margaret Veley (Huskins), aged 72 years, on March 27, 2016 at TBRHSC. As family said their goodbyes, she was ushered through the portals of Heaven welcomed by her Jesus. Lovingly remembered by her husband Archie of 53 years; brothers Jack (Mary) Huskins of Morden, Manitoba, Bruce (Brenda) Huskins of St. Catharine’s and Terry Huskins of Thunder Bay; sisters Maryann of Morden, Manitoba and Peggy (Gerard) Terpstra of Edmonton, Alberta. Predeceased by her mother Irene and father Basil Huskins; brother Clifford; sister Thelma Brtko; mother-in-law Hazel and father-in-law Jim Veley. Sadly missed by sister-in-law Lenore Andersen who was more like a sister and best friend; brother-in-law Mogens Andersen; niece Suzanne Marsh who cared and visited her auntie as much as possible and niece Brenda (Jim) Bullied of Holland, Manitoba who phoned and visited always making sure that her auntie was okay; best friend for years Judy Addley who spent several hours chatting the day away and missed by nephew John Brtko who thought of her as a mother.

Spending time with her family was the highlight of her life. Marg loved to go camping and blueberry picking. Archie did the picking and Marg did the cleaning. She loved to go fishing, again, Archie did the fishing and she looked after the fish fry. Due to her failing health, Marg had to give up everything she enjoyed, except for all her African Violets that she looked after to the end.

As per her wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held at the Murillo Town Hall on Saturday April 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Fred Hubert officiating. A luncheon will follow. Donations to the Arthritis Society or Teen Challenge Thunder Bay would be greatly appreciated.
