Surrounded by her loving family Millie passed away peacefully in Roseview Manor June 10, 2016 at the age of 88.

Millie was born September 29, 1927. She grew up in Upsala and in her younger years she moved to Fort William and worked as a hairdresser and a telephone operator.

In November 1945 she married Roy Cooper and as well as bringing up their three children, they built and operated the Ritz Motel for twenty two years.

Millie was an excellent cook and enjoyed sewing, knitting and thoroughly loved being a very special Nana! Many years were spent at the cottage at Pine Point, where everyone loved fishing and having many celebrations, pot luck dinners and happy times! She had great friendships and a lot of fun with her lady friends, and the family has nothing but wonderful memories!

Millie was predeceased by her husband Roy Cooper and parents Signe and Axel Greenlund. She is survived by her son Don Cooper (Lynda); daughters Lynne Santorelli (Ralph) and Karen Starcok (Rick). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Curtis Cooper (Nicole), Ashley Aylward (Ryan), Brittny Blomquist (Kris), Nyck Starcok, Corey, Alana and Taylor Santorelli. She is also survived by great grandchildren Jaxx, Jorjie and Reece.

As per Millie's wishes cremation has taken place. A family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Thunder Bay Alzheimer's Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff of Roseview Manor for 12 years of excellent care.

"The best gifts in life are not the things you can buy, but the memories we make with the people we love"
