<div itemprop="description"><br />Jean Elizabeth (Betty) Tozer passed suddenly and peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2014. <br /> <br />Jean was born March 20, 1934, the eldest daughter of Hilda and Harvey Barrie. She is survived by her husband Orville Eldon Tozer of 62 years. They were married August 22, 1952 and built a home on Riverdale Road. <br /> <br />Jean is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Mary Lou and Ernie McKenzie, her brother-in-law Jack Wegner, and her sisters-in-law Fern Tozer and Joyce Zatti; Four children, Janice (Bill) Dickerson, Nancy Madigan (Ed Burrows), Kevin (Lorraine) Tozer, and Noeline Tozer; Three grandchildren, Matthew Madigan, Adam Dickerson, Dana Dickerson (Kevin Ala-Pantti); numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. <br /> <br />She was predeceased by her parents, sister Beverly Wegner and daughter Jacqueline Margaret in infancy. <br /> <br />Jean was a talented seamstress, a quilter, crafts woman and artist. She was a dedicated volunteer and a long-time member of the Vickers Garden Women's Institute, the Neebing Needlers, the Thunder Bay Quilters Guild, the Grandview Ladies Auxiliary and Christian Women's Group. <br /> <br />She was a strong, independent woman, and avid fisher women, hunter and outdoors person, as well as a gardener, an excellent cook and baker. She cherished her family, her many friends and the family dogs and will be sadly missed by all. <br /> <br />A celebration of the life of Jean Tozer will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 1-4 pm at Jenkens Funeral Home where a come and go reception and visitation with family will be held. A private interment will take place at a later date. <br /> <br />If friends so wish, the family respectfully asks that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Thunder Bay or the Northern Hearts Program. <br /> <br />&quot;Time for me to go, I won't say good bye <br />Look for me in rainbows, way up in the sky <br />In the morning sunrise when all the world is new <br />Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you&rdquo; <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></div>
