<div itemprop="description"><br />Mr. James Colin Darrach, age 75 years, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Born to Louise and Colin Darrach (both predeceased), he was raised in Sudbury. Jim attended Sudbury Technical High School and later graduated from Teacher College in North Bay. Employed by the Sudbury Board of Education, Jim worked in various primary schools throughout the region. Responsible for the Rock Lake Outdoor Education program, Jim also had his masters and was a Science Consultant for the Board of Education. Jim retired at age 55 and went out west to B.C. as principal of a private Christian School. Retiring once again, Jim was ordained as a priest involved with the Episcopalian Church of Canada. Living and working in Thunder Bay he was continually reading, writing and participating in various bible studies. Survived by his loving daughter Laura-Lynne Darrach, son Todd (Janis) Darrach, granddaughters Isabel and Daisy, sisters Myrna (Bill) Morrison and Andrea (Mike) Davies, special cousins Anne and Brian Darrach, niece Carla (Bill) Wylie and family. Special friends Don (Lena) Joy and Terry (Tina) Guzzell also survive. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 South Syndicate Ave. Family and friends may gather for Graveside Funeral that will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Section 49 of Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of James Colin Darrach to the Canadian Diabetes Association. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></div>
