<div itemprop="description"><br />Cedar Woman, Jacqueline Eve-Ann Goodchild, 54 years old of Pawgwasheeng/Pays Plat First Nation has unexpectedly travelled into the spirt world on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital. With saddened hearts her beloved family and dear friends witnessed departure by drumming and singing to complete her journey. <br /><br />Jacqueline, Cedar Woman, had a free spirit and many special gifts that were given to her from the Creator and her guides. She had shone her light onto others that travelled her life journey and with her passed on many teachings and help to many others by simply being herself.<br /><br />Those who journeyed with Jacqueline in this realm have had many so many teachings and stories to share and to pass onto and the next generations. <br /><br />Predeceased by her parents George and Violet Goodchild and brother Dennis; she leaves behind with saddened hearts, and will be missed by her three children, Jasmine (Rene), Jessica (Casey), Andrea (Colby). She will be greatly missed by her siblings Raymond (Linda) Goodchild, Ken Goodchild, Francis (&amp; Bev) Goodchild, Leona (&amp; Tom Sutton), and Vera (&amp; Terry) Oliver. Numerous nieces, nephews and other close friends and relatives also hold Jacquie close to their hearts.<br /><br />With our sincere respect for our mother Jacqueline, cremation has taken place.<br /><br />A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pays Plat Community Hall from Thursday, January 21st 2016 to Sunday, January 24th 2016 with a feast to follow.<br /><br />A Sacred Fire will be held at her residence 24 Muskeg Crescent to celebrate and honour Jacqueline Goodchild in Pays Plat First Nation. With her free spirit that shone so bright on us she will guide us through the difficult days ahead. We will continue to honour her by living our traditions in a way that Jacqueline has watched for us all. <br /><br />Donations can be made.<br /><br />You will forever remain in our hearts and souls.<br /><br /></div>
