<div itemprop="description">Hilda Marie Lagarde, age 84, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Auntie and Elder of Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinabek (Sand Point First Nation) passed away peacefully in the TBRHSC on Friday, December 12, 2014. Hilda was born on May 14th, 1930 at MacDiarmid (Black Sand Bay). Hilda always presented herself as being a very cheerful happy individual and loved her outings. She was a dedicated Ojibway woman and Elder of BNA First Nation. She was also a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. In 2014, she reached her 40th year of sobriety. As well, she was an active member of the Canadian Mental Health Association. <br /><br />In her earlier years, Hilda had a love for travel to both Canada and the United States, most memorable being the Calgary Stampede. She was an avid supporter of the Montreal Canadians and the Toronto Blue Jays. Hilda is survived by her children, Robert and Patrick Kletzel of Alberta and Darlene Dery of Hollis NH USA, grandchildren Amber and Robin and great grandchildren, sister, Annie McGuire, brothers Christy and Richard, numerous nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends. Hilda was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Julia, siblings Stanley, Eugene, Patrick, Florida, Madeline, Agnes, Ronald, Leonard, John, Myrna and Audrey. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Hilda&rsquo;s life will be held at St. Anne&rsquo;s Church, 126 Mission Road, Fort William First Nation on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to take place at a later date. In honour of Hilda, donations may be made to CMHA.<br /><br /></div>
