<div itemprop="description"><br /><br />Aged 79 years passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at TBRHSC on October 12, 2015 after a brief illness. Florence stayed at home to raise her three daughters. In 1978 Florence and her husband started Card&rsquo;s Trucking, working with Canada Post in town and hauling mail to Nakina and Manitouwadge. Florence loved her sports, The Lakehead Thunderwolves, Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays were among her favorites. She lived in Paterson Court for many years and enjoyed time spent with all the friends she made there. Florence enjoyed bowling with the Silver Bells at Mario&rsquo;s Bowl for many years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1338. Every week she looked forward to shopping trips with her family to Walmart and Timmy&rsquo;s for coffee and snacks afterwards. Florence was predeceased by her husband Robert, parents Julius and Edna Maki, brothers Vern and Marvin, sister-in-law Florence Maki, and son-in-law Tom Cairns. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Linda (Pat) Milks, Debbie Cairns, Lori (Fred) Tilling, sisters Dorothy Maki and Janet Maki, brothers Ken Maki and Clarence (Ann) Maki, granddaughter Kim (Jeff) Bunch, and great granddaughter Kenzie Bunch. Also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial celebration of Florence&rsquo;s life will be held at Jenkens Funeral Home on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery will take place following the service. A reception at the Moose Hall, 317 S. May Street, will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to George Jeffrey Children&rsquo;s Centre or the Thunder Bay Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.<br /><br /><br /><br /></div>
